In July, China's new energy auto sales reached 1.262 million units, with a cumulative total of 8.22 million units sold year-to-date.

On August 11, the CAAM released the production and sales situation of the automotive industry in July. The data showed that in July, China's auto production and sales reached 2.591 million units and 2.593 million units respectively, down 7.3% MoM and 10.7% MoM, but up 13.3% YoY and 14.7% YoY.

From January to July, China's auto production and sales reached 18.235 million units and 18.269 million units respectively, up 12.7% YoY and 12% YoY, with the production and sales growth rates expanding by 0.2 percentage points and 0.6 percentage points respectively compared to January-June.

Regarding NEVs,in July, China's NEV production and sales reached 1.243 million units and 1.262 million units respectively, up 26.3% YoY and 27.4% YoY, with NEV new car sales accounting for 48.7% of total new car sales.

From January to July, China's NEV production and sales reached 8.232 million units and 8.22 million units respectively, up 39.2% YoY and 38.5% YoY, with NEV new car sales accounting for 45% of total new car sales.

Regarding domestic sales,in July, domestic NEV sales reached 1.037 million units, down 7.8% MoM but up 16.9% YoY. Among them, domestic passenger NEV sales reached 975,000 units; domestic new energy commercial vehicle sales reached 62,000 units.

In July, domestic NEV sales accounted for 51.4% of total domestic auto sales; domestic passenger NEV sales accounted for 54.5% of total domestic passenger vehicle sales; domestic new energy commercial vehicle sales accounted for 26.8% of total domestic commercial vehicle sales.

From January to July, domestic NEV sales reached 6.913 million units, up 32.3% YoY. Among them, domestic passenger NEV sales reached 6.499 million units; domestic new energy commercial vehicle sales reached 413,000 units.
